Ingredient assessment
Today there are no internationally recognized toxicological tests for ingredients. We test and assess the ingredients we use in our products based on an approach used to test food additives. We have adapted this approach to take into account the fact that cigarette are burned, and that it is cigarette smoke, and not the unburnt materials, which is consumed.
That does not mean that our cigarettes or our ingredients are "safe": it is important to remember that all cigarettes, both those made with ingredients and those made without added ingredients, are inherently unsafe.
